GPS Alerts are notifications that provide the location of your pet when someone scans their PawTag and clicks “Share Location.” This feature leverages the finder’s device to pinpoint the location where your pet was found, without the need for live tracking or battery-operated devices.
How It Works:
1. Tag Scan:
• When someone finds your pet and scans their PawTag, they will be directed to your pet’s Online Pet Profile.
2. Share Location:
• On the profile page, there is an option for the finder to click “Share Location.”
• By clicking this option, the finder agrees to share their device’s current location with you.
3. Receive GPS Alert:
• You will receive a text alert on your phone.
• The text will contain a Google Maps link with the coordinates of the finder’s location at the time they clicked “Share Location.”
